Gig1 Hub 5 thoughts

OK so Gig1 is great and whatnot, but the Hub5 Wifi is phenomenal. The CCTV cameras no longer require a wifi extender. I can have my Laser Printer any where in the house now, the Smart Meter is on full bars, I can even get Wifi at the bottom of the drive. I get amazing speeds all over the house - over 600mbps in the bathroom (the room furthest from the Hub) and in bed the speeds are as fast as being in the living room below. Just got to hope the Hub5 remains reliable. I notice it's now Sagemcom instead of Arris, hopefully that's a good thing.

It's refreshing to hear a vote of confidence in the Hub 5 on here.

I myself have had only a few problems so far.

Good points:

Range is better than hub 4,

AX offers higher bandwidth than ac.

2.5g Port is very handy.

Passively cooled.

It boots faster and the UI is faster.

Down sides:

If I so much as change ANY setting in WIFI (other than the name):

I will loose 5G completely or...

I'll have 5G but it wont let me connect. Only a pinhole reset will fix this.

This Hub 5 experience level requires optional Volt 48 A/C PSU
