Re: Frequent '10 minute' outages in CB245*

Amusingly, I received a "we've fixed it" email for regional fault F008754016 and then had another outage within 15 minutes!

Re: Frequent '10 minute' outages in CB245*

...and yet another outage right now in the CB24 5xx area.  The status page no longer shows the/any fault.

Despite the clearing of the fault and an email claiming things had been fixed, clearly the fault has NOT been fixed so is there someone from VM that could kick investigations back off please.

Re: Frequent '10 minute' outages in CB245*

Reported on another site where the ongoing issue is being debated by customers locally.

”I have had an update from VM in relation to the intermittent broadband service as follows 10th Feb; "I have just received this update around 3.45pm confirming all the work on the network is now completed so please monitor your service over the next few days for me and I will call you on Sunday as promised and if you're still experiencing issues we can send a Technician to your property". For those who are interested the VM team has replaced the forward laser which has cleared the poor downstream SNR and have done a total rebalance of the RF levels. They do recommend re-booting your hub, fingers crossed we now receive a reliable service.”

it has been off and on since then. Let’s see.

In the meantime while we reboot and wait to see if we get any more outages....Any update on here from VM re is it fixed as described, not until 12th or maybe 19th?

Re: Frequent '10 minute' outages in CB245*

I wonder if that was done locally or outside the village. I went for a good walk during one of today’s outages and didn’t see any Virgin vans anywhere.

I can report an outage between 20.05 & 20.15 though. The same ‘No Ranging Response received’ error reported by my CM as before.

Just had another 9 minute outage in CB24 5xx; 13:16 to 13:25.

Problem is clearly NOT fixed.

Yep seeing the same here.  Also including a BQM graph at the request of VM:

Re: Frequent '10 minute' outages in CB245*

Another CB245* VM customer here experiencing the same problems as above (only just found this thread)

Experienced the same outage as seen by others that started at 15:42:43 and came back at 15:49:53 according to my router logs.

Received a fixed message yesterday from VM but this is obviously not the case.

Re: Frequent '10 minute' outages in CB245*

It was looking better today. Got through to early afternoon before outages since then.

Perhaps we’d benefit from one of the forum team replying again re which official update on a fix is correct.

  • The one supplied to people who have complained and spoken to someone senior. But that said fixed yesterday so looks unlikely.
  • Or the  one on here who said the fix date had changed from 12 Feb to 19 Feb.
  • Or the one on here who after we’d been told 19 Feb said it’ll be 12 Feb.

Or maybe it’s a new date.... We’ll know tomorrow if it’s the 12th or not as a fix by date.
