Re: Free WiFi Booster

Why would you pay a techy to install a wifi booster of whatever type.  They are easy.

Re: Free WiFi Booster

This joke would make more sense if you indicated the bases of the numbers. But even then, it wouldn't be a constructive or helpful addition to the thread.

Re: Free WiFi Booster

The only drawback with that proposition is that a router in modem mode isn't a WiFi access point.

Re: Free WiFi Booster

I have also been trying to get a wifi booster. Free or otherwise! I saw online that for £3 a month we could get a booster to cover black spots. But cannot find ANY way to find out more on this subject!

Download the Virgin Connect app, click on Broadband, scan for black spots and if it finds one an order button normally appears.

Re: Free WiFi Booster

Seems totally open to abuse, could go out the garden and "claim" a wifi booster

Re: Free WiFi Booster

Abuse? Getting a free booster as advertised to improve the Virgin Media wifi signal around your house? I am not sure anyone would bother if their wifi was reliable.

Re: Free WiFi Booster

I'm certain people would, they stopped posting out free remotes on this page due to people asking for extra remotes just because they can

Re: Free WiFi Booster

That works both ways.

I just had a new extension built and the wi-fi signal was so weak as to be unusable, even for one device, in that area... and yet the app told me it was absolutely fine for all usage.

It wasn't.

So I just walked out into the garden to get the booster and now have usable wi-fi in the extension.
