Again, kudos to some great wifi posts - thanks for some eye opening stuff.
We're trying to have more fun with our tech and we'd like your help exploring our 'Shadow Wifi'..
On our virgin router (hub 3) we have split the wifi into 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
So we have two wifi signals.
But both signals have a shadow that broadcasts as nameless along side them.
Anyone know what the Shadow Wifi is for?
I've done some searching on here to see what it is but I'm not sure I've found the answer.
Thanks for any ideas much appreciated.

It’s used for the VM pods.

Ahh I see - Thanks.
So wonder when the Shadow Wifi got here then...
Did it come by default in a Past router firmware?
Or did it only appear after we Recently ordered a Pod?

Most likely a hub firmware update. I have always run in modem mode, so it matters little to me.

Virgin Staff, can you confirm this...
Was the Shadow Wifi Firmware pushed out to all routers as Standard?
Or do customers only get it when they Order a pod?
Thanks...

Hello DelboyMacbooth.
Thanks for asking such a great question.
To be honest off the top of my head I have no clue at all about Shadow WIFI.
But I have asked our product team for you.
As soon as I get a reply, I will gladly post an update on here for you.

So for the record, can someone confirm that Virgin Media deny their routers have this Shadow Wifi.
Thanks 🙂

Hello DelboyMacbooth,
The last time we spoke about this on here. I went back to our product team to ask about Shadow WIFI. Who in turn asked for a screenshot of what you can see.
Would it be possible to share the image where it is displayed on the hub settings.
