Constant latency fluctuations + TV artifacting

Tizzletom

Hi there.

Recently I have been having some packet loss along with a largely fluctuating latency, along with the TV artifacting every so often which is quite annoying.

I never get fully disconnected but I can tell when it hits playing a game.

Below are my download and upload stats from the router after a reboot for 20 mins.

Any help would be appreciated

1 of you upstream  is at max and the rest are rather high.

Unless there’s a local or area fault you’ll need an engineer

Thank you for replying. I appreciate you checking over those.

Of course with the current UK lockdown I might struggle to get an engineer. I posted on here after I waited an hour on the phone to get through to someone and had to give up. I'm not complaining because it is what it is but fingers crossed someone comes back to me here.

Just another thing to ask, I'm not an expert at this but I would like to think I'm relatively adept at these things. Is there anything I can do within my property to make these levels go down?

I have 1 splitter at the entry point to my flat and 1 where my internet and TV sits. Anything I can check?

Still having this issue.

Kind Regards

Tom

Given up on posting here as not getting response.

Last call attempt took 1h+. Will try again

If possible can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Please post a 'Live Link' to your BQM on here straight away.

Instructions for posting BQM Live Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

Copy and paste the contents of the Downstream, Upstream, Configuration and Network Log tabs onto here, if you get a yellow / straw box warning click the Post button again. Use one post for each tab if you wish.

Please do not use screen grabs.

A Guru will be along soon to decipher the info.

Hi there, I've been super busy and haven't been able to get this info for you. I've set up the BQM. I've noticed that the speeds are getting slower also which isn't good....
