Can't reach a website on Virgin broadband that I can using other providers and Virgin mobile too!

Up to speed

I can't reach the lloyds business banking site: https://onlinebusiness.lloydsbank.co.uk

from my computer using home wifi, I can from my virgin phone with the wifi turned off using 4G but not with the wifi turned on.

This also works using other internet providers. Any thought sabout what the issue is and if there is anything a lowly end user can do about it? Thanks!

Dont know if that would be blocked by "Childsafe" being activated on you account - but if its on try turning it off and see if that sorts it.

Log onto your online account and click the "MyApps" Tab - it is in there

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Thanks, that made me run the less sophisicated tracert and that says:

Unable to resolve target system name onlinebusiness.lloydsbank.co.uk.

which probably is an issue!

I suspect a DNS problem, I have no problem using 9.9.9.9.

Thanks. The connection automatically uses the Virgin DNS servers:

194.168.4.100
194.168.8.100

So I set it manually to 8.8.8.8 and it worked. What's up with virgin DNS then?

Hey @fangster, thanks for the reply on the forums.

I'm glad to see that the issue has now been resolved.
May I ask if this happens on every device that was on the DNS?
Let us now.

Kind regards.

Hi Ilyas,

The virgin DNS also now works (something must have updated) but at the time, yes if I used my phone on the Virgin wifi it also didn't work but it did when on 4G and my desktop on Virgin wifi didn't work.

Thanks.
