2 cabled access points

Hi all. When I moved into my home I had 2 virgin media access points installed. 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. I only use the one downstairs now for my broadband router as I don’t have VM tv anymore. Is there a way to utilise the point upstairs to extend my broadband network?

Re: 2 cabled access points

No. It is probably still active so you could try moving the Hub to that point - but that may not help and/or may make it poorer downstairs !

There are other/better ways to extend the range of your BB connectivity.

Get either a…

(1) Mesh System,
(2) Wireless router,
(3) Wireless access points which are ethernet cable connected
(4) A combination of (2) & (3).
(5) Powerline adapters

Whichever works best in your location, your budget and your tech abilities
