Hi I’ve recently upgraded to 1GBPS internet and it keeps dropping the connection on all devices at random times during the day and night. I’ve set up a thinkbroadband monitor and I’ll post that as well as power levels.

The Downstream Power levels vary between -3.2 to 10 the Hub will work with that but it is a not normal to see such a wide range on 1 connection.

Yeah I was thinking that they seem a bit ranged. Is there anything I can do as dropouts of my internet constantly are unacceptable.
thanks again.

The downstream stats would work so long as they stay at that level. But if the are varying that could soon be an issue.
Check the Upstream stats too.

Would like this fixed. It’s not just one every other day it’s a few daily. It disconnects everything, not just Wi-Fi.

Anyone?

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.
VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.
If no area faults found:
The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.

Do VM still come to the forums? I decided to buy a router and slap it into modem mode. I'm hoping this solves it but now I am only getting max speeds of 600-700mbps.
Hopefully VM reply and they can either send an engineer or something.
