I have been trying to leave virgin media for the last two months but keep getting stuck in chatbot circles and I’m now receiving bills and have been referred to debt collection for unpaid bills.
I have registered a complaint with Ofcom and await to be contacted by the forum team by PM to assist me.

The forum team don't look at this Chatter bit of the forum site. Hopefully a VIP user will move your post to the right bit soon.
In the mean time register a formal complaint with VM and try cancelling by calling VM and selecting the thinking of leaving us option.
RE debts I assume you cancelled your DD before formally cancelling your contract. This is always risky with VM as they are merciless with debt. Ensure your credit record is corrected at the end of the complaints process and also seek advice from Citizens Advice.
