I've been trying to set up a Direct Debit for months but it won't allow me too stating I need to make a payment, even though I have paid?

What service is this for Media or Mobile services?
As a rule we don't usually deal with accounts, billing on here.
However as it has been on going for a while I am happy to take a look
It's for Media, I have been paying manually for a few months as I had problems transferring Direct Debits when I opened a new bank account, I try & click on the DD set up but it states I need to make a payment when I have already paid.

Once that has been done, I can get this Direct Debit set up
Manual payments are not convenient
Just gone back on and it's allowed me to set up the Direct Debit, may thanks for your help with this, even though it's not really under your remit, very much appreciated.
