Difficulty accessing new contract details

Alice2012

This morning I rang Virgin media retentions and arranged a new contract. However Virgin have since sent a text to my mobile phone  with a link to amend my direct debit details, and another asking me to comment on my experience. However I only have a very basic pay  as you go phone with no internet ( I have it just for emergencies). The links  are extremely long-- too long to copy down and then copy to my computer. I've always had e-mails from them in the past.

How do I get these texts resent to me via e-mail?  At the moment I can't respond to them, and it's worrying me. .

Thanks for the reply @Alice2012.

You won't have to do anything.
The link to the direct debit is if you'd like to change the details, but apart from that it will continue how it is.

It is informing you of the new contract price, and a different amount for the next months direct debit which will be slightly lower.
Apart from that, the monthly amounts will be as usual as the agreed contract.

Kind regards,
Ilyas.

Hi Alice2012,

Thank you for your post.

Do you have access to a WiFi connection you can connect your Pay as you Go handset too?

Thanks for the reply @Alice2012 on the forums. 👋🏼

Have you checked your emails to see if it there?
Usually with a text we send an email as well, it may be advised to check your junk / spam folders.

Let us know.

Kind regards,

Thank you for your reply.

I have PDFs of the contract details (the imprtant stuff)

But the 4 messages I got via mobile phone text aren't in my inbox or junk folder.

One of them is asking questions about my experience,

one is ...do I agree the agent was helpful and friendly

the other is a link to review pre-contract details

but the one I'm concerned about is the link to amend my direct debit. I'm not sure what that message means. Will I have to do anything about my direct debit or will it automatically continue with the new price? Not sure how important the text actually is.

Thanks for the reply @Alice2012.

Thank you!!! So, I don't have to do anything.  I can forget about those texts, as the really important stuff was in the emails I got. That really puts my mind at rest.😊

You're more than welcome @Alice2012
