Credit report default

I have noticed recently that I have a defaulted bill with virgin, this was back in 2016 maybe 2018 so I have no information to be able to login and settle this bill. can someone help me get this sorted as its effecting my credit score.

If you can just give the Credit File Amendments an email so they can look into the default for you. It's creditfileamendments@virginmedia.co.uk. They aim to respond to emails within 14 days. How long does a default stay on your credit file? A default will stay on your credit file for six years from the date of default, regardless of whether you pay off the debt. But the good news is that once your default is removed, the lender won't be able to re-register it, even if you still owe them money.
