Cancellation issue

I cancelled my broadband with Virgin 23rd May and had confirmation email. I have now had a further bill come through and that will be taken from my bank account in July. Not a happy person

Did you give your 30days notice on May 23rd, or was that your disconnection date?

If the former, then you're not disconnected until anytime now (I've not worked out the exact date it would be) and until you are physically disconnected, your account remains live - and bills will continue to be generated.

Once your account is actually cancelled, then the final bills process kicks in.
