Hi
I am the legal welfare & financial guardian for both of my disabled brothers. They both have a Virgin Media package and have a separate address. I also have a Virgin Media Package and live with my husband in our own home.
I emailed the address listed on the accessibility website, including all relevant details and attaching supporting documentation in order to gain control of both my brothers’ accounts.
This was on the 17/02/2023. I have received no reply to date. I have verified that the email address used was correct.
One of my brothers has been notified of a £9 a month increase to his package. Also, Virgin Media has altered their terms & conditions with I believe a deadline of 01/04/2023 to opt out of the changes without penalty.
I am extremely disappointed by the lack of reply given the seriousness of the application. I expected this to be addressed promptly given its status.
I’m turning to the forum for help as I don’t know who else to contact.
Hers a quote from the website:
“We also recognise that there are 6.5 million unpaid carers in the UK and as of 2020, 1 in 5 of our cable customers consider themselves as being an unpaid carer. Carers (unpaid or paid) are people who support someone who is older, has a physical or mental illness or is disabled. Our aim is to support carers manage customers’ Virgin Media services easily. If you’re caring for someone here’s where you can find out more…”
“easily”? How long am I supposed to wait?
It seems that this company don’t “recognise” they needs of carers as well as they think they do.
