Wall sockets

Just had my phone reconnected but the technician used a dongle to connect to my hub instead of the existing wall socket. I’d prefer using the wall socket in case WiFi goes down, do wall sockets still work?

Re: Wall sockets

VM provide their landline service either through the hub or via a conventional telephone master socket but not both at the same time. At the moment all VM landline connections are gradually being moved towards a connection via the hub. All telecoms providers are doing this with a view to that becoming the norm by 2025.

As you have noted, if the VM hub is not working then the landline will not work either via this connection method so having a backup mobile connection is a good idea for when this happens.
