Switch to Fibre Phone - Remove Box Early?

Hi - I am due to switch to fibre landline on 29th April and have received the adapter. However we are doing some renovations on the house and it would suit for us to remove the little boxes and wiring now ahead of the switch, otherwise we'd need to delay another 6 weeks on the decorating.

So my question is does the old line have to be in place on the day of the the switch over (we barely use the land line so it doesn't matter that we won;t have access to a phone for a few weeks)?? Or could we remove it now and then just plug in the new adapter and phone into the router on switchover day and voila!!

Any help much appreciated.

IMHO, you should leave the telephone master socket in place but you could disconnect extension sockets from the master and remove the extension sockets.

If you remove everything, you will have no working reference phone connection during the switchover. If the master socket is in the way, leave it in-situ for the time being (or loosen it off the wall but leave it still connected) and then just do a small bit of decorating after the master can be removed post-switchover and the area decorated and made good.
