Re: Phone book

Just browsing

Hi David. I'd like to go ex-directory too for the same reasons plus privacy! (I never asked for these details to be made public!)

Please could you message with instructions etc?

Thanks

Steve

Hello S_Chapman

Thanks for those details and passing security.

Your number is now EX Directory.

This will take effect when the next online Directory is updated.

We will also request for this to be removed asap.

I hope that is okay for you.

Hello S_Chapman,

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear your number is not Ex directory.
I'd like to take a look into this for you and get this removed from the next published Directory.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great.

Thanks Gareth

No problem at all S_Chapman.

Should you need anything else at all.

We are only a message away.

Gareth - could you try for me too? When I asked before I was told it couldn't be done. My account with you ended last year (though my email address is still active), and my phone is now through sipgate (who do not create any directory entries).

Hello PaulWildsmith.

Thanks for your message.

We are quite limited to what we can do with former accounts.

The only way we can change it is if the account is active.

There is the Telephone Preference Service who can remove you from Sales Data Bases etc.

Other than that, Sorry it is still not possible.

Ok, understood, but if my account is closed why do you still list the number?

Hello PaulWildsmith.

We are not responsible for the listings in the Phone Book.

When you have an account with us the number can be Ex or non Ex directory.

As it was still Direct when you left. BT will still publish this number.

You can change it here if that helps.

Thanks for reply, but I can't do this as I don't have bt account either. I just assumed you would stop listing numbers when an account is closed.
