Regularly asked on here but you are paying VM for a landline service rather than the landline (as in piece of cable) that connects your home to the cabinet in the street. After switchover, you will be receiving the same landline service (with maybe a few extra phone features thrown in) but it is the method of delivery that is changing (a phone connection from the back of the hub rather than a telephone master socket on the wall).
