Currently I run the virginmedia hub purely as a modem with my own router. I've just received notification that they are changing my landline to a ip phone that will have to be plugged into the hub. I've got a couple of questions.

Will this mean I have to use the crappy router in the hub?

Will this give them access to my home network?
