Hi Ted,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, sorry to hear your Bedroom phone isn't working since your Landline Switchover was completed.

How is the Phone connected, is this Via an extra socket we installed?

Regards

Paul.

Hi,

Yes virgin installed it many years ago, and it always worked until the fibre switchover

Hi tazted2001

Thank you for your response.

Do you have no dial tone at all on that line?

Do you have another handset you are able to try please?

Please pop back to us when you can.

Is your phone connection from the back of the VM hub working OK and just the bedroom phone socket which is not?

Once the phone switchover is completed, the only working phone socket in your home will be the one on the back of the VM hub.

Your telephone wall sockets (such as the one in your bedroom) will no longer work unless you get VM to modify your home phone wiring to link your existing wall sockets to the phone socket on the back of the VM hub.

VM should do this for you free of charge as part of the switchover process.

Has VM already made these modifications to your phone wiring, post-switchover, for you to reactivate the bedroom socket and it has now failed subsequently?

If VM has never made any phone wiring modifications for you post-switchover, the bedroom phone socket will never have worked post-switchover, so plugging in another handset is unlikely to achieve anything as the bedroom socket will be disconnected.
