No dial tone on landline

I have no dial tone, cannot reach virgin media on the phone as they are the worst company when it comes to customer service. There appears to be no service fault. Posting here is the last resort.

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, we are sorry to hear your landline isn't working, I have had a look at things at our end using the details we have for you, everything looks as it should, no issues which could be causing this, can you try removing everything from the phone socket including any extension, filters, if possible can you try a standard phone, if the phone you are using has multiple handsets please do not use that?
