My alarm company has told me there is no signal from my landline to my alarm, and therefore we can't set our ADT alarm. Never use the landline, didn't even have a handset for it. But I've purchased a basic handset, and yes, there is definitely no tone.
I've tried using the online tests, but these tell me that the tests are inconclusive and to call. I've gone through the whole series of phone options, and get to booking an engineer, only to be told the call centres are closed and to call back. The only time I have free to call is when I get home from work. There doesn't seem to be any way of booking an engineer besides this process.
Getting frustrated - this has been going on for over a week!
