Landline is dead

I can't make or receive calls and apparently its been like this for days. The kit is all newly installed and worked fine around Christmas. All tests run say there's no apparent problem.  Impossible to get through to book an engineer. Does anyone have a similar problem in the London SW20 area? Can Virginmedia actually do something for the vast amount of money that get from me every month?!
