Hi we recently got a new package with you for broadband and phone and we now have to connect the phone through the router instead of the phone socket but our router is upstairs and the phone is downstairs is there anyway you can manage to get a line installed for the downstairs so we can use the phone otherwise there is no way we can use it.
We want to keep the router upstairs while keeping the phone downstairs which we cant do with how its all setup

VM should do the necessary wiring work to link your hub to the phone sockets FOC as part of your package change/setup. If you are within your 14 day cooling off period, you have the option to cancel the change which may focus the VM mind.
Alternatively you could use some cordless phones. Plug the base station into the hub and use cordless handsets around the home as required.

Hi MR_S,
Thanks for posting, and sorry to hear you're unhappy with the set-up.
As goslow has advised, you can either use a cordless phone, or choose to move the hub downstairs.
If you do decide you'd like to move the hub let us know and we can arrange this.

We dont want to move the hub tho is there anyway we can arrange for a cable to be installed that could run along outside to the phone?

VM should be able to link the phone socket on the hub to your extension sockets but they now seem to be trying to extract £25 wherever possible from customers to do this.

So I can get a few more details from you MR_S,
I've popped you over a private message (purple envelope, top right hand corner)
