Sorry to hear of the landline issues experienced, we understand the concern and inconvenience this can cause and appreciate you raising this via the forums. Welcome to the community.
Can you confirm how the landline is connected please? Is it via a wall socket or via an adapter into the back of your Hub? If it is via the Hub, are you currently experiencing any known area issue with the Hub or your other services?
If it is via wall socket, does this happen when trying via different all sockets? If so, are you able to try a different handset to eliminate that from the problem?

It's via the hub and there are no other issues I'm aware of (tv/internet working ok)

I’m having the same issue, don’t use the landline very often but just tried….constant engaged tone, tried disconnecting and reconnecting it no difference
