Re: Need to change my channel type from interleaved to FastPath,

Post some traceroutes to servers you're connecting to as that will show where the higher pings occur.

If you need the lowest possible ping then VM probably isn't the ISP for you. Cable ISPs always have slightly higher ping/jitter compared to DSL providers like Sky/BT/PlusNet/TalkTalk.

30ms is perfectly acceptable unless the server is literally hosted in your house, below that you're really not going to notice a difference, an actual competitive gamer would know that there are diminishing returns when it comes to lowering latency, Considering that 30ms is quite literally 0.03 seconds, you're not going to be able to actually tell a difference between 0.03 seconds and 0.02 seconds which is all you're talking about when going between 30ms and 20ms 😛

That's not how it works.

You even get more than "0" ping at lan events.

depends on network topology, network utilisation, signal levels, hop count etc.

Re: Need to change my channel type from interleaved to FastPath,

Hi Seif

Thanks for the update, have you checked our service status page to see if there any issues which may be causing a problem with your services? You can follow the link here.

You can also download our connect app as this allows you to see where you would have the better signal in your property. To get instructions on how to get the connect app click here

Once you have tried the above and if you are still having issues please come back to us so we can investigate this further for you.

Many thanks Jodi.
