Latency Variation (HIGH PING) - Mostly Mon-Fri from 10AM to 6PM

Hello,
it's been several weeks that I've a constant problem with latency variation. 
Not a big problem in normal browsing, but a huge problem in gaming. This happens mostly during day time (10:00AM to 6:00PM, Monday to Friday).

It happens with ethernet and wireless connections, even when I'm the only one connected to the router. I'm 99% sure it's not my problem because I basically tried everything in the last weeks.. but I was unable to solve the problem.

My normal ping (google.com) is 10-20ms, but during those times, it's 20/50ms to 150ms/270ms with so many spikes.

I have no idea what to do to solve this problem.. the only thing left is to change provider, but I would like to not do that. Anything I could try?

We’re all in the same boat at the moment, with no known fix.

The network is over utilised during Monday Friday when everyone is working from home and stuff. Won't get any fix anytime soon because its too expensive. Try to find out when it's the peak and try avoiding it 😂😂 use bqm for that if you want or maybe after 6pm will be alright. I get the same problem and I've had everything replaced. Hub and cables.

Did someone try to switch provider? Would that help?
That's really annoying because it means that we will have this problem for the next upcoming months.... 😞

Switching provider would help yes.

10 year's managing 9 Virgin Media accounts, and things never got any better, closed last 4 accounts since January 2021 :L

Connection is getting worse and worse and worse...

You can see the difference between this, and the previous one I posted... VM just terrible...

I'm very sorry for our delayed response and to see that you've been affected by some broadband issues, we know how frustrating these types of issues can be.

 

I've been able to locate your account and I can confirm that there is an ongoing congestion issue in your area which was first raised on the 8th February. The good news is that is it estimated to be resolved by tomorrow (10th March 2021).

Every fix date promised by Virgin Media is just fictitious. I haven't seen one person on this forum who has reported improvements after a "fix date". Virgin;s issue clearly seems to be oversubscription yet they don't bother to do anything to resolve it.

Oh wow, that's true.

Today is 13th March, and nothing has changed. Broadband keeps getting worse and worse day after day. 

Why they lie? What's the strategy? I really don't get it haha. This is ridiculous...
