Apex Legends high latency

Hi,

I seem to be having issues with high latency to Apex Legends.  Start today (well after 1am this morning when I finished my last run of games!).  Nothing in my network has changed and the router has been rebooted.

I've ran a trace test which shows a few hop issues but my main concern is earlier in the chain.

Why is hop 5 losing all packets?

I check the status page and it shows no issues.  I've also ran the online tests which shows no issues.  Can I take it from the above there is an issue at virginbusiness as well as other points on the traceroute?

If only to make it easier. This is the line which is 100% loss:

If there was 100% packet loss at that Hop, how are any packets making it to the other Hops further down the chain?

All we can say about the device at hop 5 is that it doesn't (or is too busy to) return the Time Exceeded message back, but it's definitely doing it's job and forwarding packets on.

Bit of a jump in ping times between hops 7 and 12, I'd hazard a guess the issue is there.

The servers from hop 12 are in the USA, so the jump in ping times are the ICMP packets hopping across the pond.

The 100% packet loss is just that particular server configured to ignore ICMP timeout echo requests.

It is the last hop that counts, a 94ms ping is pretty good for USA servers, maybe try a server closer to home?

Thankfully it self cleared later on in the evening.  All feels right in the internet, well at least Apex anyway! Happy days.
