blueyonder email address removed

Having had an account with Virgin for over 20 years I was not aware that my email address belonged to them; recently I found the cost of broadband too much and chose a separate supplier but kept my mobile number and email address with VirginMobile, which I was happy with. This was recognised by Virgin as they quoted and used this email address to contact me.    Then one day my email address stopped working and on calling them they said that they had turned it off, but, but, but, I spluttered I'm still using virgin mobile.  They are separate companies they said.  At least let me get my email addresses of friends family and businesses. No they said they belong with VirginMedia.I'm sure I'm not the only person who has been vindictively treated by Virgin by doing this;

  I've just seen that 02 has merged with VirginMedia so in effect I'm still a customer of Virginmedia.     Please will you help me get my email addresses back.

Hey deech,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.
I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your email account, I'm sorry to hear that your email address has been removed, I can assure you that its not vindictive and any email address that you use with one of our domains will always remain the property of Virgin Media, you may still be with Virgin Mobile but unfortunately email addresses are associated to Virgin Media broadband accounts and if your broadband account is closed, your email address should be removed from our system 90 days after you leave, this is detailed in the terms and conditions in your contract.

However, I would be happy to take a further look into this for you to see what we can do to help but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.
Kind Regards,
Steven_L

The forum team are best placed to help and advise on the viability of temporarily restoring access to the email account however be aware that: a) it maybe impossible to restore access for a number of reasons, for instance when the email account has been deleted; b)  it can take them a few hours / days to respond.

Me too 20 years with virgin and they treat you like s*** - cut you off with no personal contact and no understanding of how it affects your life, to them its just business - bottom line merge with O2 and increase the profit.  I still cant get thru to anybody who has responsibility . I spent an hour on the phone with an asian woman who spoke in a way I could hardly understand , why ? because they are cheap and increase the profit to the management and shareholders.
