I have been having this problem for three days now. Initially I was getting the "mailbox unavailable" message that others have mentioned. I phoned up the helpdesk (40 minute wait to be answered) and the guy tried a few things like getting me to change my passoword. Now I am getting the "Error 403" forbidden page.
It is clearly a problem at the VM end as I have tried logging in on 3 separate devices and get the same error on each. Trying to either access "https://mail.virginmedia.com/" or clicking on "email" when logged into my virginmedia gets me the page shown in the attachment
And now we're getting to the extent of the problem!!!
Maybe by tomorrow we'll have hundreds, maybe thousands. Direct debits of maybe £40 a month stopped?
How can it take VM this long to fix something like this? Is it a broken wire? A plug loose? New server needed? Or is nobody actually looking at it because it doesn't affect VM in the slightest? All the fancy advertising is a veneer. Absolute tosh underneath.
Yes, the phone support is grim. Other means of 'support' non existent. Time to hit them in the pocket...
