Outgoing Mail marked as Spam

Hi All,

I'm trying to forward a mail from my energy provider, with a PDF.  The instant I hit send I get a message back like this:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:     deleted for privacy

      Sent:  25/09/2023 11:17

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

            552 5.7.0 SPAM Content Found (VM603) kidiqcZcAay9ckidiqTM4o

This is a genuine mail sent from my Blueyonder account to another address.  All other mail functions work as expected (Send/receive, with or without attachments) and I have previously sent mails like this, with the attachment.  Can anyone help as to why this is now being blocked?  Many thanks.

Frequent updates to the matching data used by spam filters is likely to be responsible for this and will hopefully clear itself in 6, 12, or 24 hours. Should the problem persist then you will need to wait for a forum team member to correlate the unique reference shown in the Spam Content error message with the email team to determine the exact cause; be aware it may take the forum team a few hours / days to work through to your post.

In the meantime consider:

  • compressing the PDF attachment before sending if it is the cause of the Spam Content warning
  • using an alternative (non-Virgin Media) email account to send the message
