Error message '465 timed out'

Had to change my email passwords and now can't send emails as smpt message says channel 465 has timed out. Is this still the correct channel for a blueyonder account? Grateful for help.

Are you able to sign into webmail?

Which email client are your using?

What is the complete error message; remember to redact personal information before posting?

Are you using the recommended settings, see How do I change my Virgin Media email settings?

Thank you Very Important Person. Sorry for delay in replying but I’ve been travelling in Central America and it was whilst there using Virgin Media email that I had the problems. Now I am back in UK I have reset pAsswords again and all now seems OK. I suspect it was some dodgy WiFi connections that triggered the problem.
