Email now stopped!!! SMTP Error Message

Tuning in

I posted just last night that I had an SMTP error message pop-up intermittently, but emails did send. I've just tried now and yet again, NTL is completely blocked: Error pop up on iphone states "Cannot send Mail, the username or password for my address is incorrect" I have option to click OK or go to Settings.

Can anyone help - this now is getting ridiculous; friends with AOL, Sky, BT or Vodafone don't report this problem, can someone help again please I'm working and cannot spend hours in the queue to a helpdesk



I'm no expert but I understand VM now require a separate App password for Mail clients etc.  The password is set up in the My Virgin Media site.  Your issue could be that.

Up to speed

Same here, intermittently. I've found that by repeatedly forcing a send/receive that it will work after a few tries, but clearly VM bu**ering around with email again.
