Cannot get my @ntlworld.com e mail

I cannot get my@ntlworld.com email by my POP mail reader (Windows 10 app) it keeps telling my  pass world is incorrect, I can log into my Virgin Web mail and that accepts my pass world!

Have the @ntlworld settings been changed (stmp and POP so on)?

Re: Cannot get my @ntlworld.com e mail

There could be a few reasons, which you need to check.  The settings is a good first start.  Although the old settings should work, here are the recommended settings:

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Email-settings-change/td-p/3369438/

If you still have a problem, it would be helpful to tell us the exact error code from your email client. (you might need to search the helpfile to find out how, or download outlook or thunderbird).  Then the superusers and VM have a list of what the codes mean and can give appropriate advice.

Another avenue of problems that is very common at the moment: can you check if your public ip address is on spamhaus blacklist? Check here https://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/

Come back with more information and we can guide you to a solution (I hope)

Re: Cannot get my @ntlworld.com e mail

Are you using virginmedia.com servers?
Have you tried setting up the account using imap rather than pop3?
Do the settings match these:
pop3.virginmedia.com:995:1
SSL yes
smtp.virginmedia.com:465:1
SSL yes

Try this:

  1. Start->Run->Type cmd in the command box.
  2. At the command line, type regsvr32 Softpub.dll and press Enter
  3. At the command line, type regsvr32 Wintrust.dll and press Enter
  4. At the command line, type regsvr32 Initpki.dll and press Enter
  5. Click OK
  6. Restart your computer

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.
