Hi there

Since yesterday i am having problems accessing my Blueyonder email account: I have tried both accessing via my iphone and webmail via my virgin media. It keeps saying my credentials are incorrect but i havent changed anything.. see attachment to the error i get. Pls can someone help me. I have recently left virgin on 10 October and believe i still have my Blueyonder acct for 90 days past that date.

Hi there @Lizahb77

Thank you for your post and welcome back to the forums.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues accessing your email.

Just to clarify, are you getting this message when you attempt to access My Virgin Media?

Thank you.

The error occurs when an email account added to webmail authentication credential fail; likely because they are out of date. To fix the issue select Edit (appears adjacent to account name), then under Incoming Server update Password (highlighted in below example) and select Save.

Hiya

No . So i sign in to myvirginmedia using my blueyonder login and password and i get into my account no problem. I then scroll down and click on virgin media email and i see all my emails for my @virginmedia.com account but i have another email account in here aswell which is my blueyonder.co.uk email and when i click on that i get the errors described above.
So even though i left virgin on 10 October i can still access my virigin media account and email but not blueyonder.

Also on my iphone i have my virginmedia mailbox set up and i have no problem with emails . But the Blueyonder account i am getting the credentials error .

Hiya

Thanks for the reply. Have already tried this though. When i type in the password i get the below error

@Lizahb77 In which case you need to change the password for the blueyonder email address first and then enter the new password into the VM webmail page as described above.

First sign out of any My Virgin Media account that you may currently be logged into. Then to change the password sign into My Virgin Media My Virgin Media with the blueyonder email address and current password.  Go to Update settings >  account details and click on edit to the right of password in the sign in details section.

Hi Graham

I tried this today as you outlined and still doesn’t work. I can access myvirginmedia email account but the password is not accepted by the secondary blueyonder account .

this is what i get .the top account is my virginmedia.com account called Email and the secondary one is my blueyonder account (details blacked out for my security) . i have also clicked the edit pencil to right of the blueyonder accountand entered the same password and it comes back with that error

@Lizahb77 Your screen shot shows that you are in the wrong place to change the password for the blueyonder email.  The terminology used by Virgin Media can be misleading.  Each individual email address has its own My Virgin Media account.  So log out of any My VM account that you may be currently logged into and then sign back in with the blueyonder email address and current password. Then follow the instructions to change the password.

Once you have completed this change and waited an hour log back into the primary webmail page and update the secondary email account password to the new one that you set in the previous step.

@Lizahb77  Thanks. So after changing the secondary account password have you now gone back to the step in message 3 from @用心棒 and entered the new password for the blueyonder email address?
