One of wrestling’s most prestigious and popular events of the year takes place in the coming days, with the 35th annual edition of Royal Rumble opening up the Road to Wrestlemania 38.
Royal Rumble is a unique fixture on wrestling’s calendar as 30 wrestlers enter the ring at timed intervals (usually ninety seconds apart) and compete in a hectic battle until one wrestler is left standing and crowned champion.
The rumble always carries additionally high stakes as the winners of both the men’s and women’s matches guarantee themselves a World Championship fight at Wrestlemania in the spring.
Whilst some of the names competing have already been revealed, there will be many more surprises on the night itself making predicting the winners nigh on impossible.
With two Championship matches between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, and Becky Lynch and Doudrop also on the card, Royal Rumble 2022 promises to be a spectacular night of drama.
