There is a cabinet blocking the rear access to the property. The property has a drop curb which allows access to the rear (garages)
This is not a new drop curb and has been there since we have purchased the property.
How do I go about getting this removed/ relocated as I would like to start using the driveway space due to parking issues in the area.
Thanks
Mo

I presume this cabinet was inplace when you bought the property.
There's been a few previous threads on this same subject - try https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/QuickStart-set-up-and/Move-a-Virgin-Street-Cabinet/m-p/5180344 as one of the more recent ones.
There's some contact details and comments as to the potential costs in there, too. You're likely looking at a 3-figure bill to survey the location to see if a move is viable, potentially a 5-figure bill if you choose to go ahead and VM are willing. Depending on where in the network this cabinet sits, VM may not be willing.

Hi,
Yes the green box was there when we purchased the property and so was the dropped curb. Called the council and they advised that the dropped curb has always been there as there has been no application for one to be dropped.

That does not look like a dropped kerb, even in front of the garage. I can distinctly see a kerb stone. Think you should get in tough with the council to see if that really is a dropped kerb or not.

I'm minded to agree - the kerb looks the same height across the length of that photo.
I also recall a case on here a couple of years back where the initial photo showed VM's green cabinet in what appeared to be a paved garden prime for a dropped kerb. Checks of the street-view history revealed the cabinet was there long before the garden was paved over and was installed in the middle of a garden hedge.
So checking with the council for the dropped kerb history would be very wise.

VM, or its predecessors, would never have installed a cabinet where it blocks a dropped kerb. So, that cabinet was in place with no dropped kerb and any application to drop the kerb would have been refused unless the cabinet was going to be moved.
It's a virtual certainty that VM is not going to move the cabinet as it's not obliged to do so (H&S reasons are usually the most compelling). Even if you are prepared to stump up the many thousands of Pounds for the move, VM has better things for its engineers to do than this job which benefits just one customer but can disrupt the service for many more.
