When satellite dishes become redundant, and there will be a lot of them when Sky pulls out of this business perhaps as early as 2029, most dishes will remain in places as homeowners won't know what to do with them or be unwilling to pay the pay the cost of removal - typically £100–£300+. So the dishes will stay for decades, same as the old Rediffusion cables.
