Sounds about right, VM do not care. If they were bothered about the low quality of their offshore teams they would have done something about it years ago. Re: Help! It sounds like the RFoG ONU has died, very poor from VM that they don't have their engineers equipped with spares. Re: New customer already regretting this I think we both know that nobody is digging up a blocked duct on Christmas Eve Re: Do Virgin Really Care? To add to the above since you can't seem to edit posts now, keep a log of the timeline so you can present everything clearly to the ADR service. I would put every instance of VM staff telling you that someone would be on site "tomorrow" as a no-show which is worth £30.49 each time, and make VM argue that it isn't. Re: Do Virgin Really Care? Recontract with BT but don't cancel the Virgin Media order. Did your confirmation email say that your services *will* be going live on a certain date? You are owed compensation each day that passes until 30 days after VM inform you that they are unable to provide a service. Assuming it goes live a month late then you're going to get 30x6.10 in compensation, and then you can cancel the Virgin Media service in the 14-day cooling off period. If VM doesn't go live on the 11th Jan then you will collect even more compensation to help pay for your BT service. Re: Warning about getting VM installed to properties with no current connection The first thing to realise with Virgin Media (and probably lots of other companies) is that the people selling you the services have zero incentive not to put the most positive spin possible on whatever result they are getting from the computer, because they want their commission. So in your case the database saying that you could get VM was translated into someone being "100% sure". Re: Order placed, I received the contract but nothing delevered Phone up your current provider and tell them to cancel the cease of the service, VM will not have the kit to you by Monday and could potentially not have it delivered by Christmas. Use the compensation that they owe you for not being able to provide the service on the date their confirmation email told you it would be provided by to cover the increased costs of being out-of-contract with your current provider, and then see if things settle down in the new year. Re: Delivery and installation issues: please post your updates here. Don't cancel because you might as well let the compensation rack up - order with another provider (do this ASAP because you could realistically be waiting two weeks for the installation date) and then let VM deliver the kit and cancel within 14 days. Re: Every house/shop has virgin media next to me, mine not available Did the developer that built the flats put in any cabling for Virgin Media?
