Hi @ChippyLegend

It's not worth upgrading your broadband whilst you have a poor signal. You need the signal sorting out first, otherwise you'll be tied into a new contract and probably paying more for the privilege. Increased speed won't alter a poor signal, if anything it can make it worse.

You should make a new post in the Networking-and-WiFi/  forums detailing your connection issues along with how you are connected, any third party equipment you may be using, speeds and how you are measuring them etc.  (See the spoiler at the bottom of this post)

The mesh wifi  pods now come with a speed guarantee . See the following page for details, including  how to order online via My Virgin Media or through the Connect app

https://www.virginmedia.com/wifi-max

You can also call the direct number 0800 064 3850 to order a pod (they will only send out one at a time, and there must be an interval of at least one week before a second order will be accepted)

They are free if you are on the Gig1 package, or Ultimate Oomph, or on a Volt bundle, however if you are on any other package then they £8  a month.

Spoiler

Check all of your cabling, especially the white coaxial cable, and make sure it's snug and tight and free from all kinks.

There are a lot of tech guru's on the forum that can look into your issues but when posting the hub stats they need the full details from the Router Status page. So please  copy/paste 3 FULL sets of data onto here (not screenshots) – from the Downstream, Upstream, & Network Logs pages.

You should also set up a BQM monitor  at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you can post the link straight away.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and then click OK.
