Volt upgrade with expired contract.

Hi,

I have O2 and VM BB.  My BB contract has ended, so running month to month.

I signed up for VOLT upgrade, and have received email from O2 to say its processed.

on my VM account it shows the speed of BB is now updated to the next level.

however when I run a speed test, the BB runs at the old speed still. Do I need to boot the hub? Or has the upgare at the exchange not yet done?

also regarding cost, should the monthly be changed to the VOLT offer, six months at lower rate then increase afterwards?

my rate has remained at the same monthly its been since contract expired.

thanks for any advice.

Mine stayed the same apart from the speed increase. It you want a cheaper rate you would have to negotiate a new 18 month  BB package.

What speed were you on originally? Wifi speed checks will not tell you what you are getting at the router. You need a cable connection from the earthnet port to a laptop to do that.

Hi

I was on 350/35. So expecting 500/35

i use Orbi netgear wifi, and was always able to do a speedtest with correct results.

i just tested with a cable via a GB switch and get the same, so tested with a direct connection to the hub and its 500+.

looks like i have a bottleneck somewhere - likely FW.

thanks for the answer re contract.
