Volt broadband speed upgrade missing

I joined O2 with a tariff eligible for Volt on 1 August and O2 applied my Volt benefits from 11 August.

Nothing yet from VirginMedia and when I called customer services they don't seem to know what the problem is and wanted to offer me a different package - but this should be separate and not a package upgrade. I was transferred several times on the call including to O2 who told me they could not do anything and then transferred me back to VirginMedia to a different department who then referred me back to VirginMedia customer services.

Has anyone successfully got VirginMedia to activate their Volt broadband speed increase?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums. 


With this - once you apply for your Volt benefits through your online account with O2, it does take up to 14 working days to apply. I assure you from the details of your post, there is nothing that stands out which isn't normal process. You are still within that time period for this to be added. I have no doubts this will be completed by the team if you have already activated the benefits. 


'Applying your Volt benefits

If the name on your Virgin Media broadband account matches the name on your O2 mobile account, your Volt benefits will be added automatically within 14 days, unless you were already a customer of both before 18 October 2021, in which case you'll need to go into My O2 to activate your benefits.'

If after that time period is over - please reach out to us.
