Hi folks,
Is Volt Ultimate only available for new customers? My reason for asking is that whenever I go to the My Virgin upgrade page it leads me to the Mixit/Maxit page for a tv package, with no options for Volt Ultimate. I currently have M350 Broadband & Phone only, but I'm after Volt Ultimate as it offers virtually all the channels I have with Sky, whereas the Mixit/Maxit package is seriously deficient in the documentary channels that I have with them.
I can complete the Volt Ultimate registration as a new customer but if I do that VM will see that I'm already a VM customer and then the whole thing might get complicated and end up with lengthy phone calls to and fro.
My Mobile data is with Tesco Mobile and I know that an O2 Pay Monthly SIM package will be required.
Thanks

It should be available (I recently changed to it), just be aware you won't get the new customer pricing. If you're out of contract you should be able to negotiate a deal on it for signing up for a new contract, if you're still in contract I would think you could still get it, you'll probably just have to pay the full price (no idea what that is, as VM seem to like keeping their prices top secret)

Hi @Ken70
The online upgrade page is a little restricted in the offers they show you. You can choose from any pacakge and just need to contact either the Regrades or Retentions department and negotiate a price for the Ultimate Volt package.
The Maxit package has exactly the same documentary channels that are included in the Ultimate Volt package.
You can see a list of the current channels available in each package in columns 4 and 5 <<< here >>>
If you were to take the Mixit package then you can add documentary channels as a Personal_Pick (Entertainement & Documentaries)
The Personal Picks are an extra £7 a month for the first Personal Pick and £5 a month extra for any additional ones you choose to add, they can be cancelled by giving 30 days notice and won't affect the Mixit package discounts or contract length should you take that package.

@newapollo and @Tavis75
Thanks both for your help. 👍 Regarding the Mixit/Maxit packages, it really would be helpful if VM updated their channels list on the Mixit/Maxit pages to reflect what @newapollo is saying. I'll give VM a ring later and see what they're saying. 🙏

Well I got through to VM via Messenger and got a good deal sorted for £89PCM. Volt Ultimate in all but name, so happy with that.
A 360 mini is included and that will be in the bedroom. My only question is where does the coax from the mini lead back to? Is it to the brown junction box on the outside wall, or the inside white junction box in the livingroom , or to the hub there? I'm ground floor and already with VM Broadband . I just want to get furniture moved away from the walls to make things easier for the engineer on the day.
Thanks

Hi again @Ken70
Thanks for the update - it's great to see that you managed to find a new deal at an agreeable price.
You can chat to the engineer about how you would like the cabling routing.
I have the cabling for my second box run externally up the wall from the brown junction and then directly into my bedroom location.

@newapollo . Thanks for that. Very helpful. The 360 mini cable will go around the building at ground floor level to the bedroom. Same route as the existing broadband cable to the living room No problemo. 👍
