Volt Not Applied

I renewed my contract with virgin media on 5 August and have the m100 broadband service.

I joined o2 and the volt benefits have been applied to my o2 account (4 September) but not to the VM account and I haven't yet received the speed upgrade to m200.

Can you help?

Is this the place where someone from VM might help me or is this just a community forum (maybe I'm misunderstanding this forum)?

I'm hoping to get tech help.

Hi @smbaby

'Applying your Volt benefits

If the name on your Virgin Media broadband account matches the name on your O2 mobile account, your Volt benefits will be added automatically within 14 days, unless you were already a customer of both before 18 October 2021, in which case you'll need to go into My O2 to activate your benefits.'

Hi there @smbaby

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums! It's great to have you here.

I am so sorry that you have not yet had your Volt benefits applied on our side.

A big thank you to our community member @newapollo for their advise, and they are correct, the benefits can take up to 14 days to be applied which would mean the 18th of September.

Are you able to let us know how things are looking after this date?

Thank you.

My VOLT has not been applied, now more than 14 days.

Speed test this morning, download speed of 73.27 when I am on the 100mb package - and with VOLT I thought that would be doubled?

Account names differ as VM in my former married name and o2 in my maiden name - however addresses are identical. I did contact VM about changing my name and send in documentation required but nothing ever happened so naturally I gave up.

Can a VM person help get VOLT applied, please:)

Regards

No problem, Jane - it's something we can help with, but I will say it is something that is always done automatically when the benefits have been activated.

Just to make sure - you've logged on your O2 portal, and through that method activated the benefits? They would only be added if you have done that.

Cheers,

Ryan.

I have checked my 02 tariff details - as said in my first post - Volt was activated on the 4th of September.

But doing speed test now gives a result of 79mb when I am on the 100mb package - which with VOLT would double I assume?

Please can a VM technician look into my account to see why VOLT has not been automatically applied??

Please can a VM staff member please help me look into my account to see why VOLT has not been automatically applied??

Thanks for this advice, smbaby.

Sorry to see it's past 14 days from your Volt activation and still haven't had your benefits added for VM yet.
