Volt New customer / Netflix

Hi, Just wanted to share my experience, today we got Virgin media installed, we already had the main box in the front room, the engineer then put extension leads to back room for the TV and then up to the main bedroom, where he installed a box as well, he was really friendly and helpful, everything is working perfectly good speeds as went for the ultimate Volt bundle with o2 Sim (1gig) and Ive managed to activate my Netflix, but decided to pay the extra £5 as my kids like to watch Netflix in their rooms (I say kids they are 14 & 18) and also to get the 4K ultra HD / HDR as the bedroom TV is HDR downstairs TV is 4K.

So if anyone is wondering about how to activate Netflix, you need to go on to the app on your TV box to do it and it will ask you to set up a password then it lets you choose standard or the one we picked at £5.

So very happy with everything so far, loads better then our previous provider, also wanted to add my kids TV’s actually connected to the network no problem unlike with my previous 2 network providers!

Re: Volt New customer / Netflix

Really nice package you have there too.

Just to say for purposes of the thread, although it has happily all worked out great for you, VM are nervous about Netflix being activated via the app https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Managing-Your-Account-Cable/Netflix-Activation-Issue/td-p/50042...

Re: Volt New customer / Netflix

Reading that post you put the link to it says Do not activate via the app on the box if you don’t have one of the bundles mentioned, I do have one of the bundles so it should be ok.

Re: Volt New customer / Netflix

I think what you have is a fully inclusive bundle , so taking that "payment" option may lead to you being billed extra.

Virgin have a very long running issue with activation of inclusive bundles , there are many threads on the subject.
