Hey guys
So I was already with O2, on a 24 month contract, in September I signed up for Virgin and got the Volt benefits, I got the 350Mbps (upgraded from the 200Mbps), I got the package including TV Entertainment and landline, paying £37.99 a month.
My O2 contract is running out next month, I asked O2 if I change to PAYG will I lose my Volt benefits, they said yes, yet their FAQ states that won't happen:
"What happens to my Volt benefits if I leave O2 or Virgin Media?
You'll lose access to your mobile data boost if you leave O2 by requesting a PAC or STAC. However, you'll keep your higher broadband speeds with Virgin Media. Likewise, if you leave Virgin Media, you'll keep your increased mobile data allowance on O2."
I wanted to move to PAYG or maybe move to a different provider altogether, can anyone (ideally someone from Virgin) please confirm if I would lose the Volt benefits if I move away from O2 or switch to O2 PAYG.
I read some of the forums posts, very confusing, some of the terms stated from Virgin "we may remove any applicable Volt broadband speed boost", may clearly isn't good clear enough. O2 FAQ states the higher broadband speeds won't be affected.
I don't want to sign up to a 12 month contract with O2, their 30 day rolling contract is a joke, 1GB with calls/texts is £20, yet you get 10GB and calls/texts for £10 on PAYG and I get find cheaper elsewhere.
Thanks
