Update to contract

Hello there,

I have recently extended my contact for another 18 months. To be honest I was very happy with the broadband / Virgin mobile deal I had but was made aware that the Virgin mobile side would go and I would now be a Virgin / o2 customer. This process I found was rather awkward and time consuming to set up. Eventually all set up. Whilst working through various O2 bit and pieces I saw a deal for fully £25 cheaper than I agreed to.
when ringing back the retentions department to ask what’s going on, the quote was ‘it’s a game’ to get in new customers. I know when a new contract is discussed there is this game playing (which I detest) in order to get a new deal.
Having been a Virgin customer since NTL days I find this treatment of loyal customers appalling, and for the first time in years I am actively looking to find deals within my cooling off time with other providers.

It has left a sour taste in my mouth and I am interested in a view from Virgin on this

Many Thanks

Hello MrCurly.

Thanks for your post regarding the offers for new customers.

I will apologise for the way it was explained as a "Game".

This should haver never been advised in that way.

The way it could have been explained is.

We're really keen for new customers to join Virgin Media so they can start getting all the benefits we offer. So from time to time, we have special offers and promotions to welcome new customers on board.

We would also like to thank you for your feedback.
