Last Tuesday, I was told I was entitled to a loyalty discount. To make a long story short, I was unexpectedly added to O2 with an 18 month contact I did not want at all. Later that day, I found out that while the price had indeed gone down, to £79, so had the package: Sky cinema had been removed. The VM operative had assured me that the package would not change.
I rang VM and asked them to restore my old package. We agreed on a new 18 month contact, which would give me the same package as before, for £81, starting on 25 October, and not including the O2 SIM.
I have been checking my VM account to keep an eye on developments. Today, I saw the contract for the package I want, at £81. However, in the drop-down list of contracts, there is an updated contract, starting on 30 October, for £79, which I did not ask for and do not want. Once again, Sky cinema has been removed.
I rang VM again, and spoke with a patient person who was not able to tell me why this updated contract had appeared. All she could say was that only the £81 was active. I worry that the £81 contract will be replaced with the £79 contract, as it has a later start date, or that both contracts might run simultaneously from tomorrow onwards. The contracts have different contract numbers.
I asked to speak to a manager but that was not possible. I thought maybe they might be able to access the mystery of the unexpected update.
I would be grateful if any VM staff or well-informed person could shed light on this.
Many thanks.
