O2 sim - do I HAVE to take it?

Hi All, I recently renewed my contract and got broadband, landline calls and  an O2 sim. But after being bamboozled by the Virgin rep, I'm now thinking I don't need the mobile phone sim, which is an extra £6, as I already have a mobile phone contract elsewhere. 

If I cancel the O2 sim,will it push the price up of my monthly payment?

depends on the package, most sims punted by the sales reps tend to be billed separately via o2, so if you cancel it you'll only have the virgin portion of the bill in situ.

try find if you have 2 contracts/bills and go from there

Thanks Mrkinny. And yup, I have 3 bills. One for virgin and one for O2. 

I'll call and find out, but wanted to ask here as virgin has a tenancy to not be truthful a lot of times and I don't want then to fob me off or rip.me off.

Hi mate,

I was told it all depends on what tariff you're on. I'm on the Volt package therefore don't need to have the sim. But sorry, I can't remember what packages the sim is required for.

What volt package are you on mate ?  And how did you cancel the o2 one.  When I called o2 they said they have to tell virgin

o2 is rubbish.. I supposidly have a good signal but my internet speed on 4g is 0.1mbps.. it is unusable at home.. on the status checker since I took out my contract two months ago it says there is a problem with the mast that will be fixed within so many days and never has been. I wish I had not got O2 to be honest now as it is unusable on 4g / 5g is just as bad adound me and just generally reception is patchy anywhere..

The bill states it's a Volt package. It doesn't say anything else.  

I have BB and phone woth them. And I spoke with both Virgin and O2 to cancel.

If I remember  you have 41 days to cancer O2 side on the deal

02 sim is £25. Additional sims start at £5, then £6 and i think the next is £8.
