New sim only upgrade + Volt

Hey guys 👋 

I have had Volt activated and it has been great with my 3 year O2 contract - that has just ended.

I have kept the phone from that contract and just upgraded via O2 to a new sim-only contract - the new sim is active and old contract finished. I have kept my old phone number.

With it being a new SIM card:

How does this affect my Volt benefits?
Can I still use Volt?

I am worried that it may be void now. It still says active O2 sim in the Virgin app but the benefits haven’t been re-applied in My O2. Will my benefits return?

Hi Downtothebay 

When you upgrade or change a tariff on your O2 account, your Volt benefits will drop off temporarily. These benefits will be re-applied within 14 days.

You could give O2 a call on 202 from your O2 mobile and ask them to check for you..
